21 Day Fix, Day 13 (Shakeology)

The weekend came and left, just like that and I still did all my workouts and drank my shake. For some reason I feel like I am stuck at the same weight. With this 1st round of 21 days I am going to try to push for ten pounds off so it can be a more realistic goal.

Last night I asked my husband to help me workout and to teach me some of the things his trainer puts him to do at work. He had me doing different reps with the kettle balls, jumping rope,  also did some jumping jacks and lunges and we both did some kick boxing. I was drenched in sweat by the time the workout was complete. I tried to keep my goal of burning 100 calories every ten minutes and accomplished it even while taking breaks.

Flushed, Stinky and Sweaty
A couple that workouts together, stays together! lol

I am not seeing changes on the scale but still seeing improvements to my body from my inner thighs to my waistline!! That is what has been keeping me motivated. Today I still haven't workout but I been under a blanket feeling super cold. After we worked out my husband was feeling the same way as I do now but he had a fever as well. I am not sure if we have something or not but as usual I always drink a packet of EmergenC to boost my immune system and it works; meanwhile he toughs it out and goes to work. Seriously this man can be on his death bed and he still goes to work....but why??? IDK...As for me I don't feel anything except chills so I will bundle up and take my happy behind to work tonight.

In a few I am going to wear my heart rate monitor while doing my 21 Day Fix video workout to see which one allows me to burn more calories the video or when I work out on my own. I feel like when I do my own thing I push myself harder and I burn more calories. We shall see.... anyways ttyl, toodles!
P.S. - This is how many calories (602)
I burned in 1 hr working out doing my own thing.

21 Day Fix, Day 10 (Shakeology)

I am going to keep it short and sweet today because my hubby is home with me and I rather be spending quality time with him. Anyways so I completed my first week and it gets frustrating when you don't see the weight shed off as fast as you would like it to, but glory be to God that He has been helping me get thru it all because some days I feel like giving up; yes already! I have been trying out new recipes so I can eat the same things I like but made with healthier ingredients.

Yesterday I had a great day with my coach Emily R. and we had a great time working out and sharing our stories with one another. She truly inspires me and helps me keep going by sending me encouraging messages. I love when I can come across women who promote one another and help build each other because I have dealt with a lot of them who are envious and hate to see you prosper. They'd rather tear you down than to see you doing better than them. It's sad but I have learned to pray for them and keep it moving. Also, Carmen G. you are awesome for helping me out with the recipes you share. Keep them coming beautiful!!

Tonight I work my 12 hr shift so I will do my shake twice today. One in the morning and one at night with a meal and a snack in between. I will share on either Sunday or Monday the snacks that I buy to help my cravings settle themselves. Hope everyone has a blessed weekend full of love and family fun. TTYL toodles.

Wonderful Weigh in Wednesday!!!

A week ago today I started my journey to get fit and get my life together.  Today is the day I compare my weight to last weeks weight and I am impressed with the results for the first week. Even though I wanted it to be more shredded weight,  I am still happy to see the progression my body and on the scale!

Drum roll pls
.............................
 BAM!!
Whhoooo hooo 6lbs  down on my 1st week!

I started off weighing 150 lbs... so this
is a baby step that helps me get closer to my goal!

I have been making healthier choices and I can tell my belly has been less bloated nowadays and has gone down. Also I am getting more energy everyday and it's getting easier to say no to the foods I use to crave like crazy.  I am going to try to bust my butt off this week because I want to push my body to it's limits. I want to do at least another 6lbs off or more (God willing) and just feel better overall.

I did Hiit Cardio with 100 sit-up this morning and will go in for a 21 Day Fix work out today. I pray you all are  doing well and keep the good faith!

TTYL peeps, toodles.

21 Day Fix, Day 6 (Shakeology)

Hey there! So the weekend came and left and I feel as if it was all a blur trying to keep track of what I ate and how many bowls of what I ate... BUT I can say this, I know I did not exceed and of my limits. I know this because I may have ate less than supposed to and I know I worked my butt off doing cardio, dancing and boxing in my garage/mancave/craftroom. I also wear a HRM (it goes right below the breast) that keeps track of my workout and lets me know when to push myself a little harder and when to slow down, and it keeps count of how many calories I burn according to my hear beat. It's pretty cool and I sync it with an app on my phone.

The weekend was hard because of my graveyard shifts and and I have to admit I was tempted to just eat junk food but I kinda stuck to my new clean habbit. I was offered chips (at work) which I declined twice but y'all when I got offered a butterfinger, omg I did decline... at first and yet still said wait i'll just have a little piece that way I got my chocolate fix and didn't deprive myself. I ate a little bit of white cheddar popcorn as well but it was like very minimal. Oh and had half an Angry Orchard while watching The Walking Dead but after I found out who Negan took out I felt like I needed the whole bottle, but I didn't. I am glad my hubby is eating clean with me too because now we find ourselves cooking together and grilling like every evening...sooooo good tho.

I am planning on going to 9 round kickboxing just for a free workout and looking for someone to go with me. I seriously burned 450 calories in only 1/2 hr last time I went. I loved it so much that I went and bought the equipment for my garage just to have a similar workout at home, lol. I just need to hang one more punching bag.

Even my son has his own gloves

Missing my speed bag

This is the one I need to hang

I am starting to feel more energized and seeing slight changes to my body; which is making me even more excited for my Wonderful Wednesday Weigh in Day!!

Anyways my lovely peeps have a blessed day and GBY all!! Toodles.

P.S. I will not be blogging on the weekends (Saturday and Sundays.)

21 Day Fix, Day 3 (Shakeology)

Just finished my workout in my son's room and I started off saying and doing just a 10 minute ab fix, and it burned like crazy! I was like "my legs need to rest" BUT... about five minutes after the burning went away I decided to put some reggae music  on(btw I LOVE reggae) and I danced for 40 minutes straight and loved every minute of it. I felt like, shoot Beyonce who? I was drenched in sweat by the end of those 40 minutes! A little secret... I even played some Bieber. Y'all I got Bieber fever, don't judge me just pray for me, lol! I feel energized and super hungry because for Breakfast all I ate was 1 hard boiled egg, so I am about to make my cafe latte shake, yummy can't wait.

Yesterday my coach Emily Ramos was sending me some helpful stuff via FB. Buddy, when she sent me a shakeology  recipe for ice cream lawd my mouth watered lol... sorry that was the fatty trapped in me, hahaha. We are going to be making it because I have an ice cream (maker) machine and I haven't used it in a while. Btw Emily, thanks so much for sending all the info on meal prepping you are awesome, love you boo.

Btw this pic is from google search

Today I was wondering if I should drink a shake in the morning, a portion meal for lunch and a shake at night since I work 12 hr graveyard shifts on the weekends. Hmm, idk but I will look up info to see if I find any solutions for that since once I come home from work ALL I am ready for is SLEEP.  I sleep about 8 hrs then get dressed to do it all over again. I have got to make time to eat. That was a big problem for me; even now I barely eat all the bowls i'm suppose to, I eat way less. Well my peeps I am going to let you go because I am starvin' like Marvin! Toodles

Shakeology Day 2

The struggle is real, I woke up super duper sore! Today's 21 day fix work out was even harder than yesterday's work out. I picked it because it's called dirty 30 and I thought hey I'm 30, why not!? My legs were literally shaking trying to hold myself up. 😂😂
My down fall is I barely drink any water, which makes you really sore too. I drink like maybe 16 ounces a day which is really bad compared to what I should be consuming daily. Anyways I have to setup a decent meal plan so I can eat properly thru out the day. Yesterday I only did my shake in the morning and then waited till around 8PM to eat a pincho (shish kebab) and a salad and beans, but I stucked to my portion bowls... so YAY me. I will be on Pinterest searching for ways to prep my meals.
I am a woman of my word and I said that I would post a picture of me in a small tight outfit. It is my goal to fit into this outfit without looking like a hot mess. Anyways there it is y'all!! The rawness is real... I know I cover it up well but all this bulge has to GO away (in the name of Jesus!) I was scared to show it all, but I had my hubby take the pics anyways so I can just be honest about it all. Anyways ladies and gents till tomorrow; hopefully I will have a meal plan ready to share.
Toodles.

#PinkFitJourney

I have not written on my blog in what seems like foreverrrrrrr, but today is a new day, amen! I am going to be writing about my weight loss process for accountability and I want to be as raw and honest as possible. Today 10/19/2016 is the first day of my journey on shakeology and I am very, very excited! I am starting this new journey because I have PCOS and my Doctor said I am borderline diabetic, 😳uh yikes!
My first "wonderful wednesday" morning weigh in and I am tippin' the scale at 150lbs, OM to the G ...DAAAANG!!! I have NEVER weighed this much in my life and I am only 5ft short! Even when I was 7 months (I say 7 months because that's how far along I got in my pregnancy, lol) pregnant I weighed way less. Before my pregnancy I was fitting a size 1 and/or 3 depending on the jeans, now I am in the size 9/10, ugh. I did my first workout today and Lawd have mercy I really wanted to throw up, it was tough but glad the lady in the video kept repeating don't quit because that is exactly what I wanted to do. I was uh-huffin' n uh-puffin' 💨
The shake was the bomb dot com, taste like a caramelized Starbucks frappuccino! Y'all... I seriously bought a new blender just for my shakes, that and I just wanted to get rid of my 3 crappy ones with dull blades. Anyways I added to my shake 1/2 cup of almond milk and 1/4 of of coconut milk. I also put 1/2 of an organic banana and 1 tsp of organic peanut butter with 12 ice cubes which made the consistency nice and thick. I drank it for breakfast after the workout and after I showered... so by the time it came to drink it... I devoured it! Yummy yummy in my tummy 😝 I will try to blog once a day for this first 21 day challenge! I will do what I call my "wonderful wednesday weigh in" every Wednesday from now (since I started on a Wednesday) on to see the progress! Later on I will post my before pic in an small outfit I bought for when I lose the weight so it will be tight and look all kinds of wrong, 😂 haha! Until tomorrow peeps, toodles!💪
